GMSA-KNUST RECIEVED DONATION FROM NANA KWESI ESHUN

Nana Kwesi Eshun, yesterday donated some food items to the KNUST Muslim community.

His gesture, which was not aimed towards this year's political agenda, was deemed laudable by the president of the Ghana Muslim Student Association.

The donor further urged other individuals to give back to society without seeking anything in return.

The GMSA President commended his kind approach and entreated others to support people in need, not only in the Ramadan season but whenever necessary.

“The main purpose for this kind gesture is to assist colleagues Muslims who will find it difficult to feed during this Ramadan.

This will at least help the beneficiaries to start their day with Suhoor or Sehri which is the pre-dawn meal before the Fajr and also after sundown.

Also, I urge all students who have enough to give to support our brethren ( Muslim students ) who do not have during this Holy period. And to the student politicians, please give alms when necessary and not just for the sake of self-interest.

Individuals all over Campus should help cater to our fellows even beyond this Ramadan.” he said.

The donation was genuine and without any agenda motive as it has been always where people donate when they are going for a position.

The GMSA President’s remarks after receiving the items on behalf of the community...

“I thank you very much Nana Kwesi Eshun for the kind gesture and also pray that Allah should multiply whatever you have spent to buy the goods.

I’m much grateful because this is the first of its kind that a student gives to the Muslim community, not because he going for a position but out of a pure heart.

I urge colleagues students to also give out to help other students in need in their little way. Although students politicians will give, mere students without political sentiments can also support the needy.”
